Privacy & cookies

This notice explains how personal data are processed when you visit giuseppeinglese.com or communicate with the artist.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Giuseppe Inglese. For enquiries or to exercise your rights under data-protection law, please use the email address provided on the Contact page.

2. Browsing and website operation

When you visit the site, the hosting systems may process technical data needed to deliver pages, maintain security and prevent misuse, such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested page and technical browser information. The site is hosted by Aruba.

These data are processed for the website’s operation and security on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest. Technical logs are retained for as long as necessary for these purposes, in accordance with the hosting service’s applicable policies and any legal requirements.

3. Contact enquiries

The site does not collect messages through online forms. If you write by email, the information you provide is used to respond to your enquiry and for any relevant follow-up correspondence. Processing is based on handling your request or, where applicable, taking pre-contractual steps at your request. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to deal with it, subject to legal obligations.

Links to Instagram and Facebook take you to external services governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Optional statistics: Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4, a Google service used to understand page visits in aggregate and improve the presentation of artworks and projects, is activated only if you choose “Accept statistics”.

The service may process browsing data, approximate geographic and device information, and online identifiers. The legal basis for this processing is consent, which you may refuse or withdraw at any time. This configuration is not used for personalised advertising.

If you do not consent, the website does not load Google Analytics. You can change your choice at any time by selecting “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page.

5. Cookies and preferences

With your consent to statistics, Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits and sessions. Their default lifetime is up to two years, subject to different settings and browser restrictions.

Your statistics preference is stored in the browser’s technical storage (localStorage) for up to 183 days, unless you delete this data sooner or the policy changes. This storage serves only to remember your choice.

6. Retention and recipients

In the Google Analytics property, retention of detailed user and event data is set to two months. This setting differs from cookie duration and does not automatically erase all aggregated statistical reports.

Technical browsing data may be processed by the hosting provider; statistical data are processed by Google only with prior consent. Use of these providers may involve international processing or transfers, subject to the safeguards required by the GDPR. For further information, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

The site’s operation and certain optional services may involve technologies managed by external providers.

The controller selects and configures these services but cannot directly control every technical aspect of how the providers process information.

For detailed information on processing methods, safeguards and any updates, visitors can consult the providers’ respective privacy policies: Aruba and Google.

This clarification does not limit visitors’ rights or the controller’s obligations under applicable law.

8. Your rights

Where provided for by the GDPR, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of personal data, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability. You may withdraw your consent to statistics at any time, without affecting your use of the site or the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, please use the Contact page. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
